What is Balayage Scottsdale?

What is Balayage Scottsdale?

Balayage is a French coloring technique that was developed in the 1970s. It’s a freehand technique where the color is applied by hand rather thanBalayage Scottsdale Jo Paris Salon using the traditional foiling or cap highlighting techniques. Balayage can be used for clients with both short and long hair with the best results coming from longer hair.

What’s the big deal with Balayage Scottsdale?

This color technique allows the colorist to create a wide variety of color effects from soft highlights to creative strong edgy color. Balayage is very low maintenance so it works for even the busiest clients.

Cost is also a great feature. This color technique does not create a solid regrowth line so skipping a color touch up is not such a big deal. Be sure to go to a professional who is trained in this technique like Jo Paris Salon in Scottsdale’s Lorenzo Ladd. He has been doing Balayage color for over 20 years and is considered one of the best. Keep in mind that a poorly done balayage Scottsdale cannot only look bad but be extremely damaging as well.

How it’s done

The way a Balayage Scottsdale is done depends on the length of the hair and the desired result. You can expect to have individual strands colored with a brush and a backing board. Some colorists like to separate their sections with cotton wool or foil; others tease the hair in sections first then freehand color the ends.

It takes several appointments initially to get the color where the client wants it. Each color session is spaced six weeks apart.  Once the optimal color is achieved, clients can go upwards of four months without having more balayage Scottsdale.  It’s recommended that clients come in for a toner and treatment to freshen up the color in between appointments.

Thinking about a Balayage?

Generally speaking, Balayage is best done on natural hair. However, most of the initial coloring cone to create a balayage look is initially done with foils until the hair is ready to have only balayage Scottsdale.
